Treasure Valley Bathroom Awards
The first ever Treasure Valley Idaho Bathroom Awards is here … you may be wondering: Heather, are you quite ok? Have you run out of real things to share about when it comes to Treasure Valley, Idaho? NOPE! LOL! … I just feel like I’ve been in so many bathrooms in Boise … why not take you for a little tour of what I’ve seen … and now that I’ve made you curious, it’s your turn to take a tour and see for yourself! And don’t just go for the bathroom tour … go because ALL OF THESE businesses are incredible …
THE WINNER OF THE BEST MIRROR GOES TO: LOVING LEFSE
The new storefront brick and mortar that Loving Lefse recently opened is extremely cute … from the all red walls outside to the cute mirror in the bathroom that says: HELLO, GORGEOUS, LEFSE LOOKS GOOD ON YOU … which is why they win our Best Mirror Award!
WHY THEY WON THE AWARD: cutest writing on a bathroom mirror ever
WHY YOU NEED TO VISIT: Loving Lefse is one of the best food trucks in Idaho and now they have a storefront (also!) where you can go, order delicious lefse, and sit in the cutest little restaurant ever!
THE WINNER OF THE BEST HIDDEN BATHROOM GOES TO: COA DE JIMA
Coa de Jima is a beautifully designed restaurant … I mean, who really wants to be able to see a bathroom door anyway while they are eating?? They get it. And so, they hid it in plain sight! The dining area looks to be just walls with incredible art … but really, one of the art pieces is a door and when you push on the artwork, it opens to the hall where the restrooms are. This is why they win the Best Hidden Bathroom Award!
WHY THEY WON THE AWARD: most creative way to hide a bathroom hallway in a restaurant
WHY YOU NEED TO VISIT: Coa de Jima is a staple in downtown Boise … delicious food, fun atmosphere, incredible decor inside the restaurant, amazing staff, and very cool desserts!
THE WINNER OF THE BEST SINK GOES TO: PERCY
When Percy in downtown Boise took over this space, they wanted to keep the history of the original bathroom when they upgraded it … The sink is a community sink outside of the private bathrooms and is SO CUTE! I love the vintage vibes, the colors, and the design of this room. This is why Percy wins the Best Sink in a Boise Bathroom Award!
WHY THEY WON THE AWARD: keeping this history of this downtown building / bathroom with a darling 2 sided sink with vintage vibes
WHY YOU NEED TO VISIT: Percy is DELICIOUS … hands down top 5 Boise restaurants for our family … order the biscuits, you won’t regret it …
THE WINNER OF THE BEST USE OF PINK IN A BATHROOM GOES TO: BARBACOA
A bathroom designed for Elle Woods herself … the Barbacoa women’s bathroom makes you feel like a queen! From the gorgeous pink velvet setees to the marbled walls … even the stalls are pink! Loving the chandelier too … It’s obvious why they won the Best Use Of Pink In A Bathroom Award!
WHY THEY WON THE AWARD: using pink in a way that isn’t cringe, but beautiful, sophisticated, with incredible lighting … makes you never want to leave the stall!
WHY YOU NEED TO VISIT: Barbacoa takes eating to a whole new level … things lit on fire, crazy cool cocktails, a beautiful view … it’s an OG in Treasure Valley where restaurants are concerned.
THE WINNER OF THE MOST HAUNTED BATHROOM GOES TO: THE DOWNTOWN BOISE GURU DONUTS BUILDING
As you can see from the photos, this bathroom is terrifying … first you get a ‘knife like key’ … then you open a door to a set of stairs that curls around to a downstairs basement … not a comfy cozy feeling at all. Even the bathroom door squeaks when you open it. No thanks!! … I wouldn’t even dare go down there alone, even if I really had to go … it’s eery and I’m pretty sure this building is haunted … like really haunted … if you are in this area and desperately need to go, might I suggest choosing a different place to handle your business??? Or head down the stairs and let us know if you agree that they win the award for The Most Haunted Bathroom Award.
WHY THEY WON THE AWARD: Just go there … grab the key, and take a stroll down the terrifying stairs to the scary bathroom and you’ll have an idea ;) LOL
WHY YOU NEED TO VISIT: Guru Donuts has some of the most incredible doughnuts in the valley … fun flavors and toppings … they are very creative when it comes to these tasty breakfast treats!
THE WINNER OF THE BEST TOILET GOES TO: THE BOISE SOFT LANDING SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM
Usually public bathroom or restaurant toilets feel very cheaply made … in my opinion … but the toilet at Soft Landing Soft Serve in Boise is like a throne! It’s solid, feels very heavy and well built … very expensive … I’m no toilet expert, but go see for yourself and tell me if you agree! Also, the bathroom is so cute … lavender tiles and gold accents!
WHY THEY WON THE AWARD: I have never used a toilet like this one … it’s just so sturdy! Not the normal toilet you’d find in an ice cream shop! Which shows this places really CARES about the details and it doesn’t stop in the restroom!
WHY YOU NEED TO VISIT: Soft Landing Soft Serve is one of my favorite places for ice cream … they have clean ice cream with the best ingredients and who doesn’t like soft serve!!??
THE WINNER OF THE BEST OUTHOUSE GOES TO: WELLHOUSE Sauna and Cold Plunge
I’m not a big fan of outhouses in general … if I know I’m going to an event or function that only offers outhouses, I will stop somewhere on the way to ‘do my thing’ before so I’m not left in a desperate situation needing to use an outhouse … but the outhouse at Wellhouse Cold Plunge and Sauna isn’t scary at all! In fact, it’s MASSIVE and even has a bench for your stuff to sit on! It’s clean and tidy … one I will gladly use!
WHY THEY WON THE AWARD: They finally got me to be ‘not scared’ of a porta-potty!
WHY YOU NEED TO VISIT: Wellhouse Cold Plunge and Sauna is our favorite place to go for a health journey experience … it’s so ZEN here and the staff is amazing!
THE WINNER OF THE BEST THEMED BATHROOM GOES TO: COA DEL MAR
Coa del Mar in Eagle took the ocean theme of their restaurant and created the most beautiful bathroom! From the mermaid door handle to the hand painted restroom stalls, this bathroom was able to take a ‘theme’ and make it the opposite of cringe! Such a gorgeous space! And outside the bathrooms is the most incredible chandelier all on theme for the ocean!
WHY THEY WON THE AWARD: They took a ‘theme’ and made it luxury!

This thing is INCREDIBLE and definitely earns the award for the best bathtub in a bathroom in Boise.

WHY YOU NEED TO VISIT: Whether you are visiting Boise or looking for a staycation, Hotel Renegade will make you feel so relaxed and spoiled … amazing location and beautiful and cozy rooms!
THE WINNER OF THE BEST HALLWAY LEADING TO A BATHROOM GOES TO: PIG LATIN
The entrance that leads you to the bathroom at Pig Latin in Eagle is quite the experience … from the rounded open entrance to the hallway with the black and white lit up sign that says: Flush Your Sins, Amigo … to the ‘photo opp’ neon sign with greenery that just screams: TAKE A SELFIE … it’s as beautiful as the restaurant itself and very on brand.
WHY THEY WON THE AWARD: Creating a hallway experience that is very Instagram worthy is all part of the fun at Pig Latin!
