My husband and I had a day date today … I love day dates … I left it up to my husband to choose and he said: “my buddy at work says we have to go to The Smoky Pickle “ … and so, we did …
Here is a direct quote from my husband during our lunch: “This is the kind of food you request on row as your last meal” I mean, dark message …. But the point is basically: THIS FOOD IS SO F’ING GOOD
It really is.
First: prepare to wait in line … and don’t cry about it because it’s about to be a major experience you will truly enjoy … the line is part of the process and it’s kind of like a Disneyland ride line where there is fun stuff to look at and see while you wait … like for instance: the menu
What we ordered
We wanted to try a little bit of everything … and I think our order deserves a gold star … want to recreate it? Here it is:
➡ 2 meat plate with brisket and smoked sausage
➡ loaded potato with brisket on top
➡ baked potato cornbread waffle
➡ side of mac n cheese
➡ side of potato salad
➡ huckleberry white chocolate bread pudding
… we also ordered the spicy pickle margarita and a huckleberry lemonade…
Literal insanity in your mouth … it’s bursting with favor, cooked to perfection, and while we were eating we planned our next visit … no joke.
I’d come back just for the dessert alone … and that loaded baked potato …
HOURS: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday … open from 11 am until they SELL OUT
Closed on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday
